Temple Visits @ Chennai

During my twenty days trip at chennai i visited the following temples thus becoming a Bhakti Palam.These are some of the known temples(only few i had listed and visited) Take a note of it and try to visit if time permits.

Triplicane :

ParthaSarathy Kovil - Don't miss Puliyodharai here.Its very tasty surely u won't get the taste anywhere.

Mylapore :

Kabaleeswarar Kovil - Very big,beautiful and old temple showing the sculptors performance.It seems that we will attain "MOKSHA" if we visit and pray to Him.

Luz Anjaneyar Kovil - Anjaneyar and Kothandaramar.It seems that whatever u wish will come true if u sincerely pray to Anjaneyar.

Tambaram :

Ayyappan Kovil - Now only Kumbabishekam is performed for the second time.Very fruitful temple.

Nagathamman Kovil - Nagam found in the puthu over there.Nearby to Ayyappan kovil

Vadapalani :

Vangeeswarar Kovil - A good Sivan temple by the roadside.

Murugan Kovil - the famous one where lots of marriages are fixed and Lord Muruga not in Andi Kolam.

Anna Nagar :

Siva Vishnu Kovil - Both the Destroyer and Safeguarder by the side of each other.

Siruvapuri(About 45 kms from chennai towards Tirupathi route,Calcutta Highways) :

SubramanyaSwamy Kovil - Very famous one in the recent past.Lord Muruga is showing a bridal pose with valli and devayanai.

Mudichur(near Tambaram) :

Bheemeswarar kovil - This is the temple where "MettiOli" serial shooting is done frequently).If u have anyone in ur family whose marriage gets delayed or unmarried can visit this temple.

Sanatorium :

Ramanjaneyar Kovil - Very big one where we can see Ramar near to our eyes i.e no rush.

VaidhyanadhaSwamy Kovil - Near by Ramanjaneyar and big siva statue.

I missed some of the well known temples like Maangadu,Mahalingapuram Ayyappan kovil,Nanganallur Anjaneyar Kovil,Besant Nagar Ashtalakshmi kovil,Thiruvottriyur etc..If possible visit and tell me regarding the importance....

The Great Chennai Trip

May 19 - Thur - The Golden Journey :

Chennai ennai vada vennai endrathu...naanum vanthaen....

Arrived at Tambaram by 5:30 early morning very surprised to see the already dawned sun with very bright nature..Got 21 G and rushed through the morning breezes of marina beach and reached at Kannagi Statue..Then walked a furlong to my aunt's home.

May 20 - Fri - Verizon Drive and Spencer Majaa:

It was a clear sky by six thirty in the morning and started off early to attend the off campus at Meenakshi College Kodambakkam..Was very surprised to see lots of youngsters with files and Marketing cross bags curling around their necks..Gals carrying small hand bags etc..Entered into the college saw everyone getting a form.I too rushed to the place where form is being issued.Just turn around to see my schoolmate and kloze friend Sudarshan(Olivattam) who was filling the form in the queue.I just joined with him and started marching..

Then we entered into the College ground and it was more or less like a battefield.The arena was fully filled with nearly 2500 plastic chairs and we booked our place as usual last seats..Then we entered into the halls for AT.It was 7:50 A.M right then.The process ended by 9:30 and we came outside and i saw nattu and K7 coming with lots of surprises..

The notable event was many good looking babes arrived over there and we enjoyed sight seeing...

Evening accompanied with my cousin Sriram(very young) went to Spencer Plaza.Just moved about the floors and enjoyed window shopping.. We could see great names and brandz like WestSide,LandMark,Music World,Toys Exhibition and Pantaloons.Good chat items found in Sri Mithai a multi cuisine.We had Dahi Puri and Pav Bajji. It was superb...

All tried to dress themselves well while we enter into spencer.Girls with sleeves and short tops and t shirts galore our eyes.I just had a free horoscope consulting at WestSide.Good predictions came some what to my expectation.

May 22 - Sun - Merina :

Enjoyed the sea breeze by five with my relatives.Played volley ball and catch practice in the dry sand with my cousins.Then entered into the shore to have fun with the waves.By 6:45 we started walking through the side..Then we reached Gandhi Statue opposite to the Police headquarters.We started hearing the instrumental musics played by the police team.We demanded songs from chandramukhi and started dancing to the tunes.

May 23 - Mon - Chepauk Rememberance :

Went to Chepauk Stadium, the proud one here in TN.Toured in and around Triplicane.

May 24 - Tue - T.Nagar Koothu :

Started by four to the most crowdest place namely Renganathan Street.Could see lots of heads like swarm of bees moving hither and thither to purchase some thing.I purchased a Cap(Rs 58/-) and a belt (Rs55/-) at JeyaChandran Textiles..Then roamed thro Usman road and other streets.

May 25 - Wed - Stay with our guys :

Toured to Thiruvanmiyur where my batch Inautixian's are staying..Reached there after nearly one hour of journey.Found their address which is at the most dead end of the area.Then me,Tbara,IT Madhavan,ECE Sathappan,ECE Jagadeesh had dinner at KaiYaendhi Bhavan and went to Besant nagar beach for fresh air at Nine thirty.Returned to their rooms and had a nice pattrai regarding their training and all corporate stuffs.Had nice nakkals with Fred.Next day Early morning i started out to my home.

May 26 - Thur - Tambaram Tamasha:

Journey towards Tambaram where my another aunt is residing.Evening i went to Ayurvedha Doctor for my veecing treatment which i suffered often.

May 27 - Fri - Colleagues meet :

Went to Vadapalani by four in the evening.While i travelled in the bus i could see many buildings like GDA,HCL and Virtusa all near the Ekkaduthangal area.Reached TCS Vadapalani the "Big Show" at the main road.Entered into the Canteen directly accompanied by my friend and colleague SundarRajan( ECE 2004 passout).We were discussing about college life and corporate nature.We departed after forty five min.Then i started towards anna nagar.Went to TCS Anna nagar branch at Sonex towers where i met Appandi Raj( ECE 2004 passout ).We then stepped down to Hot Chips nearby.We had snacks and lime juices.Since he had to attend a meeting and carry on with his work we broke our pattrai and each one marched towards their profile..

I walked some few yards to visit my Periyappa's home - Anna Nagar, 13 th main road the posh area in that location.

May 28 - Sat - Bon Voyage Send Off :

Had a trip to Airport to meet Mr.Karthik Rajagopal , Network Administrator HCL technologies who was on bon voyage to Tokyo.He is a close friend of my cousin at Tokyo.We shared few moments regarding current mushroom growth of engg colleges and IT boom over the years.

May 29 - Sun - Selaiyur Singaram :

Met my cousin Mr.Shankar,Programmer Analyst CTS,Tidel Park and shared few hours with him.Evening we went to Siruvapuri a famous temple on the route of Calcutta highways.I only drove the car and it was a very much pleasurable journey since the roads were well laid and pakkka, so the car swifted thro' like a knife slashing the butter.

May 30 - Mon - Adayar's busy traffic :

Roamed through K.K.Nagar the fully residental area to my cousin's home.Then toured to Adayar and met my dad's colleague over there.While i drove the bike i crossed huge buildings like Ramco Systems,IIT,Anna University,Raj Bhavan all still in my eyes.

May 31 - Tue - Posh Politics :

Went to Anna nagar for a function and moved about there.

June 1 - Wed - Mylapore maami's lookout :

Dropped my cousin Mr.Balajee Subramani at Mylapore who came there for a new employment at Standard Chartered Bank.

June 2 - Thur - The dreadful Vamana Treatment :

I woke up early by four thirty and went to Clinic by five.Started with steam bath then i came out with full of sweat.Then i sat in a stool then i was made to drink nearly 15 tumblers of light warm milk to induce vomiting.Then they gave me some ten tumblers of water immersed in Chitharathai(nattu marundhu).Slowly they started giving me more Concentrated ones.Finally by six thirty all the vomiting process is over.Then the doctor told me to be in Pathiyam for two days..i.e only liquid food like the Vadicha Kanji(Rice water)and dal water everything without salt..

June 3 - Fri - Velachery Veedu Vizha :

Just toured through the Velachery area.Able to see huge flats and constructions done by CEEBROS and other famous builders.

June 4 - Sat - Bro's day :

My brother Ganesh's b'day.Ganesh was on a official visit to chennai.He came to my aunt's home and we enjoyed the day with Coconut Burfi prepared by my aunt.We went out for dinner.

June 5 - Sun - Relaxed Sunday :

Dropped my bro to Railway Station.No useful work done.Just sat at home and watched sunday programmes and ate Pulav.

June 6 - Mon - Relatives visit :

Triped to my periyamma's home at Sanatorium.While i walked towards home from Station i saw the Chitlappakam fly over in full swing.Probably it will be over by another six months.

June 7 - Tue - Chrompet Kalakkals :

Went to my mama's home at Chrompet near Vaishnava College.Saw good babes and enjoyed sights while i walked from rly station.The thing is only modern kannagigal with sleeveless,short chudi's, t shirts and frocks cum jeans.

June 8 - Wed - Amongst the crowd :

Rushed to Renganathan Street thro electric train.Got down at Mambalam and saw only very few heads by nine thirty in the morning.Then travelled to S......a stores.I feel the stuffs inside are not worthy since their own brands are being sold in large numbers than the branded items.Then moved to JeyaChandran textiles and took two jeans( 1-1 offer for 600/-) Trigger(blue) and New Port(Black boot cut.Then took one 3/4 casuals and got a cooling glass just for 25/- which is very useful during driving since it is completely covered.

So finally i successfully finished my BE degree with a pretty good score(first class with distinction) now prepared to start my professional career with zero base(i mean from the scratch)...

Let's party to celebrate this joyous occassion..But one very pathetic news is that many of my friends both CSE and ECE dept who had got placed had failed in a paper..Its very horrible to hear this news...I pray to the Almighty to give them the strength and courage to face this difficult situation...

May 5 - Dad's day

Today(May 5th) is my dad's 58th birthday.Its a great day for our family.Every year we use to celebrate this day with pomp and pleasure.Likewise this year too we had many surprises..Yesterday we went for shopping and purchased nearly for 3000k towards t - shirts,pants and formal cum casual shirts.Moreover today my mom prepared "Pal Payasam" and we enjoyed drinking it.Later after sunset we went for b'day treat at Hotel Sangeethas near bus stand and ended the day with full stomaches...

College Final Gratitude

Normally i avoid sorries and Thanks giving from anyone..Any way as an entrant into the Corporate atmosphere as a Professional i'm quoting these lines .... Though this seems to be very senti yet read it... Try to read at least the last few lines if u don't have time and patience... At last after four years of hardships,i'm now in a position to become an alumni(corporate) except for my degree certificate and my last sem results..These four years are a great source of jolly-go period.. First and foremost to The Almighty,My Mom Mrs.SeethaLakshmi(Living God),My Dad Mr.Doraisami(Well Wisher) and my Brother Mr.D.Ganesh(Chief Advisor), my cousin Mr.R.A.BalajeeSubramani(foreteller,guide),Mr.GuruPrasad,Associate Consultant Wipro Technologies,Dubai(tech guru , he is the one to get me into WIPRO for project during my IV sem) and all my relatives and neighbours... Thanks to Mr.Arun Ponniah(SAP) because he is the one bcoz of his brother Ekanth's influence had led us to meet Dr.S.Mercy Shalinie,the most dearest staff of my mine.She is the one who had given us the opportunity to join TCENet for enabling Net2gether access....She is the one to give us the concern whenever we face with problems or suggestions needed. Though ppl think that i was only browsing yet i had gained technical expertise only thro this mass weapon and got placed in the great Indian Software giant TCS (Only 2 billion dollar$ Indian company) only bcoz of TCENet... Mock Interview - LUCIKEN

I thought of blogging this before.. now let it be useful for juns and non placed students... I hope really the mock interview would have given enough idea of what an IT firm is expecting for. One thing we felt was the total no of people attended was very cumbersome nearly 62 on the first day and around 43 on the second.The alumni's expected around 80 for the whole 2 days.I would just give a short summary of what had happened those 2 days (May 1 and 2).Others it may turn out to be a recap. LUCIKEN TECHNOLOGIES (Name of the company) -------------------------------------------------------------- May 1 2004 8:45 A.M -------------------------- The HR persons (our Alumni) of the company LUCIKEN arrived with the start of the PPT (Pre Placement Talk). LUCIKEN - - - Luci(d) Think clear. Ken Knowledge. The company was aimed at providing the employee freedom based on trust and flexible. It had various policies. Really the PPT was excellent and it really adhered to the present day s/w firm standards. The impressive fact about PPT is the growth plan shown by them when u enter into it.Ex. Member Technical Staff - - Project Lead. Moreover the graph showing their growth was also really impressive.Luciken's achievements and their plans, own 3D model of work all simply amazing........ Infact many questions were being asked at the PPT by our guys and gals. May 1 2004 9:30 A.M ------------------------ The next process is the conduction of Aptitude Test (AT).The test was being conducted at the IT halls. It had an Attendance Sheet and the test was smooth enough to be finished. The test consisted of 4 sections. I will just provide the details of the sections. They were: Section A - Aptitude (Quantitative) - 20 questions. Section B - Vocabulary a.Synonyms - 5 questions. b.Antonyms - 5 questions. Section C - Comprehension. There were 2 comprehensions so - (2 * 5) 10 questions. Section D - Technical (Both C and other subjects) - 20 questions. Total 60 questions in 1 hour. The thing we felt was the comprehension was quite very easy compared to the other sections. May 1 2004 10:30 A.M ------------------------ The details of which persons to attend which panel were listed in our department notice board by 10:15 A.M.There were 8 panels named from Panel1 to 8 and each panel had nearly 8 of our students to be interviewed. At this time we had split ourselves some of them to attend Resume and GD Sessions and others carried on with their interview process. May 1 2004 10:45 A.M ------------------------ The resume session started with lots of questions put forth by our alumni DEEPAK, working in CTS.We had a smooth discussion as to what should be present in the resume and not. As he adviced let me just give the order to be present which i hope would not match with our college format. Just take only the essence of it. 1. Objective - should be crisp probably look for phrases .Advice by Deepak: Browse the web. 2. Academics - mostly in the reverse chronological order i.e. BE followed by HSC and then SSLC.Advice by Deepak: Put the percentage exact what is in Ur marksheet.Don't round it off. 3. Achievements / Awards - this may consist of all Ur achievements. Quote with the order of importance. 4. Skills Set - this is where we need to show our s/w expertise. Advice by Deepak: Platforms, Programming Languages, Databases, Application Software, Others (If you qualify for any other s/w quote it under this category). 5. Project Experience - this consists of our projects and mini projects .Advice by Deepak: Probably quote the constructs what u had used and say 2 or 3 lines of description a short one (Very Crisp). 6. Co -Curricular activities - this consist of our activities as part of college say CYBER, Quest and others. I had heard that one company (I forgot the name) was questioning a person from our college that u were not involved in any of the clubs in Ur college. The interviewer added that u do not participate with team. So if u were not a member of Rotaract, ISTE, and Literary Club probably i would advice u to put our Class Club Blitzkrieg. One thing i would mention is that we only would know that it (Blitzkrieg) did not flourish well but the interviewers do not know about anything the happenings in our club. So you could easily manage the situation. 7. Extra Curricular Activities - this contains all our works beyond our college activities say (music, ACME,). 8. Hobbies - This should be correctly mentioned and u should be able to justify Ur hobbies if u had been questioned. 9. Declaration - I suppose this is mandatory for our college format. The resume session ended by 11:30 A.M and then we started on with the GD. There were 4 groups consisting of 8 persons. The GD was headed by Ekanth, HCL and Srinivasan V, Infosys, A.M.R Subha, TCS and Maithreyi, TCS assisted him. I know only 5 of the topics out of 8.I would just quote it. 1. Is India Shining? 2. A rectangle has 4 equal sides. 3. Outsourcing on US. 4. Agenda for the upcoming election. 5. Is Valentine day affecting our normal premises? We had one group finishing their GD by 12:45 P.M. Then we had our lunch and started back with the session by 2:00 P.M. May 1 2004 2:00 P.M ------------------------ We were being demonstrated a Model GD done by the GD people (Alumnis). It portrayed the importance of speaking and developing our leadership qualities.A kind advice by them was to be aggressive in case of call-center interviews.Moreover ur tone,modulation should inspire others to express their opinion rather than asking or pleasing each individual in the group to address. The rest of the GD carried on with the rest 3 groups. May 1 2004 3:45 P.M ----------------------- We then had the real interview process and each one entered their panel and they were questioned for nearly 20 minutes on an average. The panel members tested our patience and confidence by making us sit for nearly 30 minutes and dealt with more areas to enlighten the brightness of Technical details. May 1 2004 6:30 P.M --------------------- We departed and set out ourselves for the next day. May 2 2004 9:20 - 12:45 A.M ------------------------------- Our Alumni and our staff interacted and they were deeply involved in their Staff-Alumni meeting. May 2 2004 2:00 P.M --------------------- We finished off with the Lunch and met our panel members.They gave us enough feedback of our performance and solutions to our flaws. May 2 2004 3:30 P.M --------------------- We completed the feedback session and then we stepped into KS Audi.We had six sessions for better performance. Session 1 Handler: Madan Prasad, CTS Topic : Company's Expectation --------------------------------------------------------------------- He said that most of present IT companies expect freshers for the reasons following: 1.Young and energetic. 2.Don't have ego at the startup level. 3.Easily coordinate with others in the team. He quoted that one of his HR member told that Attitude - 90 % Technical - 5 % Communication and Confidence - 5 %. Session 2 Handler : Kiruthiga Murugesan,INAUTIX Topic : Presentation Skills ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- She quoted the importance of how to get ready for an interview.This involves all our early preparations.Moreover she asked us to research the organisation.Have a thorough knowledge of the company's technologies and domains so that it would be useful for us to get know with the company. Session 3 Handler : Srinivasan V,Infosys Topic : Communication Skills ---------------------------------------------------------------------- He told that ur communication skills need not be too Hi - Fi and it would be simple and easily understandable.Further it would be an opportunity to market urself. I had just summarised the entire proceedings at Luckien Technologies on the 2 days.I suppose that those who had attended would just have a recap of the feast.Others please view it carefully to get a hands on experience and feel the spirit of Luciken. Last few days

Dear all, Idaiyila naan niraya tamil varthai use panni irukkaen.So read it in that manner... First is the Men's hostel day on Mar 12 and 13..which was unforgettable..Mr Raja, a great speaker in the Solomon pappiah group was the chief guest.. kasu kodukkama oc la nalla sapittom... though we guys were day scholars yet we participated in many events...One thing is the group dance event where we guys named our troop as "SANKAR BOYZ" started dancing for all maaja padalgal...please note we were the only group being recognized as guest performance.. Then apprum sidela super a aatam pottuirukkirom...There are lots of photos taken in digicam in hostel..I will upload it in a few days ... Though there were lots of conflicts between both students, guys and gals yet we showed our unity at the end... We went to Devi Kalaivani theatre at Thirunagar second stop for the film "Maayavi" which was a total bore film... We wasted nearly 50 rupees for ticket since we occupied the Second show of the First day of Release..Yet we were happy since we gave banners titled " Final Year TCE CSE students " and it flashed nearly 10 times after interval... padam romba bore naala namma banner a pottu thallitanga... The total strength was 84. Apprum namma college culturals day(March 17th) the most remember able day in our college life...We guys printed half slack shirts with the caption in the front " GEEKS CSE'05" and at the back the following one Try to read the following lines in the double meaning too... V r int ( intelligent) V may float (oothu) V dont char (never caring for anything) V like struct (structure) V r a union (united) Last thursday was the culturals day.That was the Valedictory day for our dept Association.We wear it for as expected.Naanga ellam enna pannomna first we started jogging with our shirts starting from canteen till B arch and return from B arch till our dept with lots of shouts..... Apprum namma hod kaetaru what's the matter we said nothing....We had live coverage of the running shooted by SubaSiva at the back with his digicam with Aakho Venkatesh Kumar who was driving TVS victor. Apprum we took many photos with the shirts... Then afternoon culturals..We nearly 15 members entered the KM audi.Enga paarthalum ellarum otkarunthu irundhanga... At first we stepped on the stairs and went to KM upstairs..There were lots of girls and staff called us and said that u can stand in the pathway ( i.e the center pathway where all will march towards the stage).Then We called all our guys and assembled at the center pathway... The orchestra started singing and it was a boring one(kural onnum nalla ve illa)..Naanga enna pannomna we started singing the same song what was sung by the orchestra..Apprum we started to dance..All eyes in the Audi turned on us and all enjoyed...Then we raised loud shouts and orae koochal than ponga...Staffs started coming towards we people and adviced us not to shout...Still we didn't stop... Lastly our HOD came and made one request..."Indha paarunga pa Shirt la CSE innu pottirukku Please remove the shirt and neenga katthunga pa" endru sonnar..Still we didnt remove the shirt... Udane staffs cleared all the girls in the Audi upstairs and gave us space for CSE guys to stand....Apprum kaetkava vaenum naanga ellam orae katthal thaan... dance and majaa than... We were the notables on that Culturals day... Then last friday(March 18 th) was the college day and it was the last working day for us....Ana oru kodumai enna na we wrote III internal test on that day and submitted assignments in the morning..... Evening we started our jolly go mood...Enna pannomna oruthar orutharukkavathu banian i thalaiyila pottu podhu maathu pottam.... It was a great occasion..Then we formed a circle and asked each one of us to share their feelings in the four years college life... After each finishes there was a question hour where we got clarified of many of the unknown mysteries in our college life.....One session ended inside college by seven and we took photos before chettiyar statue and main building.... Then we continued our session again at the College pillaiyar kovil and it ended by nine forty five.... Then we went for dinner only by ten o clock and finished by eleven at TPK road side shop... I call those days as Heaven...
